Travis Wilton Pitts, 74 of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2025 at St. Andrews Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Panama City, Florida.
Travis was born December 1, 1950 in Panama City, Florida to the late Henry C. and Vera (Griffin) Pitts. A lifelong resident of Washington County, Travis was a graduate of Chipley High School and went to the University of Florida where he attained his Bachelor’s degree. He loved all things University of Florida and was an avid Gator fan. He had a servant’s heart, loved to do for others, and was well known in the community. Travis was the Clerk of the Court in Washington County for eight years in the 1980’s. Most of all, Travis loved his family dearly and will be sorely missed by those who know and loved him.
Travis is survived by his sister: Carol P. Walthall and husband Chuck of Panama City Beach, Florida; brother: Larry R. Pitts and wife Huguette of Gainesville, Florida; two nephews: Joshua and wife Amandine, Jeremiah; two nieces: Amanda, Renee and husband Paul; numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
A celebration of life in his honor will be held at a later date.
