US Weather Service Advises Marine Dense Fog Into Nearshore Waters St. Augustine Northward

Have expanded the Marine Dense Fog Advisory into the Nearshore waters St. Augustine northward. This sea fog has lowered visibilities to a mile or less along the immediate coast. Dense Fog Advisories may be issued for areas east of the I-95 corridor later tonight.

The sea fog is anticipated to shift inland overnight into Monday morning. Patchy fog will develop across SE GA and NE FL with localized dense fog possible.

Marine Dense Fog Advisory in effect through tonight for nearshore SE GA waters. Use caution if navigating waters.

Safe Boating Tip: Get familiar with horn & bell sounds you should produce to warn others around you when in dense fog.

Whether you live in Pensacola or plan on visiting there this week, Spring-like weather can be expected with highs in the lower to middle 70s. It will be dry through midweek, followed by a mostly dry conditions through the remainder of the week. However, if you are heading to the area beaches, be aware that the rip current risk will increase to Moderate on Tuesday and persist into the weekend.
