Ahead of a cold front early Friday, high chances for rain and a few Thunderstorms today into tonight. Rainfall amounts 1/4 to 1 inch likely with higher amounts possible eastern FL panhandle and western Big Bend closer to the coast.
Across the Gulf waters and beaches, hazardous marine and beach conditions today into Friday. Winds increase over the Gulf waters, especially west of Apalachicola. Inexperienced mariners and those operating smaller vessels should remain in port.
Surf heights 2-4 feet will lead to high risk of rip currents. Residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to stay out of the surf where red flags are flying.
