Deputies responded to Jeanine Way following the report of a suspicious incident where the caller found a man in his home who he believed to be a squatter.
When deputies arrived, the caller requested the man, later identified as Joshua Sohne, 40, to be trespassed. However, further investigation revealed Sohne had taken and moved items inside the home.
When deputies attempted to detain Sohne, he shoved the deputy backwards and fled on foot. A taser was deployed, but ineffective.
Walton Correctional K-9 Teams, Florida Highway Patrol, and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to assist. A K9 track was established, and Sohne was found in the woods and arrested.
Sohne is charged with burglary, petit theft, providing a false name to a LEO, resisting arrest, and battery on a LEO. He was given a $23,000 bond and is still incarcerated at the time of this release.
