Just before 1:30 am, Walton County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a 911 call about a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on Highway 98.
A deputy located the vehicle approaching him head on around Highway 98 and Old Blue Mountain Road.
The deputy was able to avoid a crash and made a U-turn to try to catch up to the vehicle traveling at speeds nearing 100 mph.
The driver finally stopped near Veterans Road and Highway 98. There was no damage to the agency nor the suspects vehicle.
Timothy Galvin, 62, of Hendersonville, Tennessee is charged with DUI, reckless driving, and refusing to submit DUI test.
