Wanda Sue Jeter, 72 of Wausau, Florida Passes on March 9, 2026 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna

Wanda Sue Jeter, a beloved member of the Wausau community, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida. She was born on October 18, 1953, in Florida and lived in the Wausau area her entire life.

Wanda was a dedicated mother and grandmother, known for her caring nature. She had three children: her son Donnie Mathis and his wife Angela, and her daughter Phelicia Mercer and her husband Rodney. She also had a stepson, Michael Jeter and wife Brandi, and was proud to be a grandmother to Jacob Mathis, Kara Mathis, Wesley Richards, Christian Richards, Tyler Jeter, and Madison Jeter. She cherished her role as a great-grandmother to River DeBout-Richards.

Wanda graduated from Chipley High School and worked at Russell’s in Marianna. She was a vibrant person who loved wrestling, which was the family’s favorite sport back in the day, and she enjoyed fishing in family ponds. Always a low-key individual, she spent much of her life taking care of others.

Wanda is survived by her loving family and will be remembered fondly for her kindness and warmth. She is preceded in death by her father Willie Robinson, her mother Flossie Taylor, her husband Wayne Jeter, and her brother Buddy Robinson.

Visitation services will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Chipley, Florida, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
