We understand many of our friends in our senior community are or will be feeling the impact of recent changes to SNAP benefits. Access to healthy, nourishing food is essential for maintaining independence and wellness, and we want you to know you are not alone.
At the Washington County Council on Aging, we provide hot, nutritious lunches every weekday through our Congregate Dining Program, located at 1348 South Boulevard in Chipley.
Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. daily
Call (850) 638-6217 or (850) 638-6216 by 10:00 a.m. to reserve your seat.
These meals are free for anyone age 60 and older and offer not only great food but also friendly faces, conversation, and community connection.
For those who are unable to visit the center, we also offer Meals on Wheels home delivery. These meals are delivered once a month directly to your home. To learn more, contact our office or reach out to the Elder Helpline Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337 ( to apply for this in-home meal program.
If you or someone you know could benefit from either program, please reach out. We’d love to meet you, speak with you, and help ensure every senior in our community has access to the nutrition and fellowship they deserve.
