Washington County, Florida School District Issues Statement Concerning Possible Threat to Roulhac Middle School in Chipley, Florida

From the Washington County, Florida School District: on Wednesday, April 22, 2026

Today, we received a tip through the Fortify Florida app regarding a potential threat to Roulhac Middle School. Upon receiving this information, we immediately began working closely with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Department has the potential suspect in custody and continues to investigate. Based on the information available, there is no credible threat to the school.

The individual in question will not be permitted on campus while the investigation is ongoing.

As always, our students safety will be our number one priority. Extra District staff as well as Law enforcement will be on campus tomorrow to ensure the safety of our students and ease the minds of our students and parents.
