Posted on July 24, 2025

On July 23rd, WCSO deputies were contacted by Panama City Beach Police to respond to the Sacred Heart ER in reference to a physical altercation that had occurred at a Crews Lake residence in Washington County.

The victim stated her son, 21-year-old, Jayden Reid Haines had punched her during what started as a verbal argument. Haines left the residence but returned shortly.

The victim attempted to leave the residence, but Haines got in the vehicle with her and kept turning the vehicle off so she couldn’t leave. The victim was able to finally leave the residence and drive herself to the emergency room, but Haines was insistent on accompanying her. On arrival the victim told ER Staff she did not want Haines there. Haines left the hospital on a black Toyota Corolla.

The vehicle Haines was traveling in was located later in Washington County and a traffic stop initiated. Haines was questioned for his involvement in the case and admitted to the allegations.

The victims’ injuries resulted in a broken nose, busted lip which required stitches, lacerations on her nose and loss of a tooth.

Haines was arrested and booked into Washington County Jail on the charge of felony aggravated battery.
