A Bonifay, FL man is behind bars and facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop near the Washington/Holmes County line.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., this morning, Washington County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop. As deputies made contact with the subjects in the vehicle, they noticed the driver displayed a nervous behavior.
A WCSO department issued K-9 was deployed and gave a positive alert to narcotics inside the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were asked to exit the vehicle.
WCSO deputies along with HCSO conducted a subsequent search of the vehicle which resulted in deputies locating a cigarette pack containing a clear plastic baggie with a crystalized substance and paraphernalia. A field test was conducted and the substance yielded a positive result for methamphetamine.
52-year-old, Joseph Matthew Crowder was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
