On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, while on patrol on Highway 90, a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office observed a motorcycle matching the description of one that had fled from the Chipley Police Department earlier.
After confirming the motorcycle and driver were indeed involved in the earlier incident, the deputy activated his emergency lights, and a pursuit ensued. Following a brief chase, the motorcyclist came to a stop. The driver then fled on foot for a short period but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
The driver, identified as Levi Marshall Young was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail on the following charges
Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer with Lights and Sirens Activated
Resisting an Officer Without Violence
Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle
Driving While License Suspended or Revoked
