Woodrow W. Hughen Jr. 85, of Fountain, Florida Passes on January 23, 2026

Woodrow W. Hughen Jr. 85, of Fountain, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Woodrow was born on July 2, 1940, to Woodrow and Bernice Hughen, in Pensacola, Florida. Woodrow worked at Gulf Coast Electric and retired after a long career of dedicated service. He was a member of Sandy Mount Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Woodrow and Bernice Hughen, and son Toney Hughen.

He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Shelby Finch Hughen of Fountain, Fl ; sons: Woody Hughen (Gene) of Youngstown, Fl, Marvin Paul Hughen of Geneva, Al; daughters: Cindy Collins (Dale) of Panama City, Florida, Rebecca Hughen of Fountain, Fl, Christina Pippin (Stacy); stepchildren: Gordon Keith Finch of Youngstown, Fl and Kevin Ferrell Finch of Fountain, Fl; sisters: Sheila Taylor of Pensacola, Fl and Henrietta Deboar (Hal) of Wyoming, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10 AM Friday, February 13th at Obert Funeral Home Chapel in Chipley, Florida, with Bro. Shane Obert officiating. Obert Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Crematory directing.
