Zoey Lynn Harcus, age 14, of Vernon, Florida passed away December 18, 2025. She was born November 15, 2011, in Panama City, Florida. Zoey was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sherri Sheffield Fey, maternal grandfather, Donald Dewayne Dukes, and paternal grandfather, Robert Allen Harcus.
Zoey is survived by her father, Shawn Michael Harcus and Taylor Hewitt of Vernon, FL; her mother, Lacey Fey Folsom and Ken Folsom of Grand Ridge, FL; paternal stepsiblings, Christopher Harcus, Noah Shaddix, Adalynn Shaddix, and Cheyenne Shaddix; maternal stepsiblings, Zorrie Folsom, Remington Folsom, and Jimmy Folsom; paternal grandmother, Paula Stricklen and Barrett Braxton; paternal step-grandmother, Dianne Harrell; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2025, in the Weeks Cemetery, 4041 Dorch Circle, Vernon, Florida with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Peel Funeral Home.
