The highlight of Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.

Chipley Mayor Tommy Sasser had the honor of presenting the certificate to Andrews during last night’s council meeting.

 

Council members also dealt with the following items during their March 13th meeting:

 

  • Approval of Ordinance No. 950 – (First Reading) – Amendment to Chapter 19 Utilities.

 

  • Approval of Resolution No. 18-08 – Rural Area of Opportunity (RAO). This will document the terms and conditions of the implementation of the RAO.

 

  • Approval of Resolution No. 18-09 – FDOT Municipal Small County Outreach Program Application.  This application is for improvements to 3rd Street and Church Avenue.

 

  • Approval of Resolution No. 18-10 – FDOT Municipal Small County Outreach Program Application.   This application is for improvements to 7th Street.

 

  •  Approval of CRA Building Exterior Improvement Plan Grant – Chipley Redevelopment Agency.  This provides $3,000 per approved project for commercial exterior improvements.

 

  • Approval of CRA Exterior Infrastructure Assistance Program Grant – Chipley Redevelopment Agency. This provides $3,000 per approved project for commercial exterior improvements.

 

  • Approval of CRA Permit and Impact Fee Grant Program for Business Grant – Chipley Redevelopment Agency. This provides $6,000 per approved façade for commercial redevelopment.

 

  • Approval of CRA Building Interior Improvement Program Grant – Chipley Redevelopment Agency. This provides $3,000 per approved project for commercial exterior infrastructure assistance.

 

  • Approval of Old Historical Society Building Demolition Quote – GAC Contractors, Inc. – 854 Main Street.   This will demolish, remove and dress up the location.

 

  • Approval of Planning & Zoning Recommendation – Request for Development Order – One River Two Bears LLC.  This approves the remodeling of an existing home site into an auto sales lot and office.

 

  •  Approval of having Mott MacDonald Florida, LLC  complete the City’s Wastewater Plant permit renewal application at an approximate cost of $18,000.

 

Chipley officials also announced the City of Chipley will now accept credit card and electronic check payments.  The City has established an E-Payment service through a 3rd Party Provider called Point and Pay.  This service is supported through convenience fees which are retained by Point and Pay.  The convenience fees are only charged to the users of the E-Payment services.  Customers may pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover and by Electronic Check (E-Check).  The convenience fee for credit cards is $3.0 for the first $300.00 and $3.00 for each additional $300.00 paid.  The convenience fee for electronic checks is $3.00 for any amount paid.

 

The City of Chipley E-Payment services are optional and are just one method of conducting business with the City.  You may utilize the E-Payment service or you may continue to pay by U.S. Mail, Automatic Draft (ACH) or in person.  The City is also offering Payment by Phone as well as Payment In-Person by credit card or electronic check of which the same convenience fees will apply.
