Gaynell McKinney Watson, age 80, of Bonifay, Florida passed away February 1, 2024. She was born November 21, 1943, in Geneva, Alabama to the late Jessie Daniel McKinney and Virginia Ellison McKinney.
In addition to her parents, Gaynell was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice A. Watson, one son, Donald Gilley, and three brothers, Carlos McKinney, Grady McKinney, and Leon McKinney.
Ms. Watson is survived by four children, Patricia Palmer, Lynn Paul and husband Charles, Jessie Watson and wife Lacey, and Jamie Gammons and husband Brian all of Bonifay, FL; one brother, Robert McKinney and wife Jennifer of Geneva, AL; seven grandchildren, Nacole Daughtry, Allen Paul, Kinlee Gammons, Bryson Gammons, Brayllen Watson, Braxten Watson, and Maura Watson; three great-grandchildren, Summer Music, Shayna Music, and Thomas Music; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Peel Funeral Home.
