Drivers Around Chipley, Florida Find Regular Unleaded Gasoline in Mid-to-High $3 range, Lowest Reported Near $3.70

Posted on August 29, 2026

Drivers in and around Chipley can currently find regular unleaded gasoline in the mid-to-high $3 range, with the lowest reported prices clustered near $3.70–$3.82 a gallon. That is at or slightly below Florida’s recent statewide average.

As of late August 2026, Florida’s average price for regular gasoline stood near $3.79–$3.88 per gallon, according to weekly Energy Information Administration data and AAA reports.

Rural Panhandle markets such as Washington County often run a few cents cheaper than the state figure, especially at discount and highway-adjacent stations.

Lowest reported prices within about 10 miles

Recent station-level reports from local trackers show a tight cluster of prices:

  • Express Lane #773 (1698 Main St., Chipley) has been listed among the cheapest in-town options, with regular unleaded reported around $3.70–$3.80. The station is frequently flagged as a low-price stop and is open 24 hours.
  • Other Chipley locations on or near Main Street and Jackson Avenue (Murphy USA at 1623 Main St., Exxon at 1369 Jackson Ave., Marathon outlets, and nearby convenience stores) typically sit a few cents to 15–20 cents higher.
  • Stations in nearby Bonifay (roughly 8–10 miles west along U.S. 90), including Tom Thumb and other branded sites on Waukesha Street and Highway 90, often compete in the same $3.70–$3.90 band.

An iExit summary of 14 stations within 10 miles of Chipley put the local low near $3.82, the average near $3.97, and the high around $4.15, noting that anything below about $3.93 is considered a good local deal.

A Chevron at 1428 Blue Lake Road has also appeared in recent listings near $3.80–$3.90. Prices at individual pumps can differ by payment method (cash versus credit) and loyalty programs.

Context and caveats

Chipley sits along U.S. 90 and close to I-10, so drivers have several options within a short drive. Murphy USA and similar discount retailers have historically been among the more competitive spots in small Florida towns, though current reports show Express Lane and certain Exxon/Marathon sites also posting low numbers.

Gas prices change frequently—sometimes more than once a day—based on wholesale costs, local competition, and station strategy.

The figures above come from aggregator and community-updated listings available on August 29, 2026; they are not guaranteed pump prices. Drivers should confirm the posted price before fueling.

For the most current information, check GasBuddy, AAA’s gas-price tool, or the station’s own app, or simply compare signs on Main Street, Jackson Avenue, and the short hop to Bonifay. Combining errands and avoiding peak-hour stops can also stretch a tank a bit further in this part of the Panhandle.
