On August 11, 2026, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office investigator conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Titan in the City of Ponce de Leon for a traffic violation.
During the stop, a passenger in the vehicle was identified as Amie Glorit. The investigator asked if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle, and Glorit stated that someone had placed a container inside her purse.
Glorit gave consent for law enforcement to search her purse. During the search, investigators located a .22-caliber pistol. A sunglasses case inside the purse was also found to contain a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine and a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine.
Glorit was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
