Invest 97L is at a 70% chance of development. This likely will become Edouard prior to making landfall.
The system is looking very healthy on satellite this AM. Regardless effects look to be about the same, heavy rainfall and some gusty winds for areas around Houston, as well as southwestern portions of Louisiana.
The remnants of Dolly are not looking so hot this AM. The National Hurricane Center has dropped the chance of redevelopment to 10%. In fact many models are dropping the chance of redevelopment altogether.
You can see in the graphics there are just a few models showing this seed surviving the last little trek through the strong wind shear. It looks as though we may not have a Dolly redevelop again out of this.
We will continue to watch it just in case but as of now, it doesn’t seem probable.
